CQV Engineer
We are launching an international division, opening doors to new projects in countries such as Croatia, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, and the United States. We are currently accepting applications from consultants eager to embark on an international experience, with the possibility of joining our project with approximately one month's notice. Projects are set to commence between July and September. You will engage in cutting-edge pharmaceutical factories or upgrade existing facilities to meet the highest standards of quality and service. Your Profile

  • A degree in IT or business administration, technical field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience in an engineering/technology role ideally in agile product environments/teams
  • Excellent knowledge of modern SAP development processes and frameworks (OnPremise, Cloud & Hybrid).
  • In-depth experience with SAP platforms, especially MM (log. invoice verification) and very good technology skills in ABAP/OO, Adobe/ SmartForms development, IDoc inbound and outbound processing, RFC events / event linkages in ERP and S/4 Hana environment. Your Tasks

These are the main tasks:

  • Development and optimization of complex, customized SAP MM solutions to support all P2P processes based on SAP HR ECC 6.0 EhP 7 and S/4 Hana 18.09 and OpenText VIM.
  • Link between development processes and product owners on operational level
  • Development of backend and frontend components using the latest SAP development tools (SAP FIORI, UI5, Web IDE) and classic SAP development methods (ABAP, ABAP OO,WD4A)
  • Definition and implementation of integration scenarios in a hybrid SAP system landscape using modern integration tools, such as SAP PI/PO, SAP HANA Cloud Integration etc.
  • Design and detailing of automation solutions to realize process optimization potential.
  • Advise/coach other chapter colleagues on solving technical issues at operational level and regarding ways of working to improve development processes

Machine Learning Engineer / Researcher

The i2CAT Foundation is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who is willing to get involved in exciting Research and Innovation projects in the framework of the Horizon Europe, and the Catalan and Spanish research programs.

The suitable candidate will join the research area of Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI). This area holds expertise in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and optimization problems; and applies this knowledge to the verticals of ambient intelligence, mobility, telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, health, sustainability and cybersecurity.

Our team is an active player in the European research ecosystem and participates as partners or subcontractors in other R&D projects. Our area also offers professional services to relevant industry and SMEs.

The selected candidate that will join i2CAT will start working in the following projects side by side with our Catalan and European partners:

  • Mossos d’Esquadra: Robot Portraits, introduces an innovative solution aimed at equipping police forces with more accurate and adaptive tools to identify individuals through realistic and up-to-date representations. An external partner will manage the frontend development of the solution and participate in the generation of 2D portraits using image-generative AI, while i2CAT's role includes applying advanced data enhancement techniques, leveraging generative AI techniques to create lifelike 3D portraits, and incorporating natural voice interaction. Together, these efforts aim to revolutionize forensic and criminal investigations by providing cutting-edge technology that optimizes recognition capabilities while streamlining police operations.
  • Fundació TIC Salut i Social: Synthetic Data Generation is a project which focuses on generating high-quality synthetic tabular data from public datasets using advanced generative AI techniques. This innovative approach enables unrestricted research and development while safeguarding privacy, fostering a collaborative environment for transformative data-driven solutions in healthcare.

She/He will develop the following tasks in the projects above listed, and in new projects that will arise:

  • Participate in technological developments of R&D solutions.
  • Analyze and discuss technical requirements with the clients and end users.
  • Design and develop AI/ML/DL models for prediction, optimization, detection, tracking, forecasting, clustering, etc.
  • Participate in the writing and editing of the documents and deliverables associated with the projects.
  • Work together with the colleagues of the Distributed Artificial Intelligence area, other research areas, and the collaborating partners to deliver a proof-of-concept and documentation of the product that meet the desired standards.
  • Participate in the development of pilots and use cases that showcase the proof-of-concept's capabilities.

The Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) research area of the i2CAT Foundation is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join its team to support engineering tasks in the implementation of various projects related to Artificial Intelligence applied to Cybersecurity.

The suitable candidate will join the Distributed Artificial Intelligence research area, and will work alongside a 15 member team of data engineers and data scientists with expertise in AI, Deep Learning and Disitrbuted Data Infrastuctures. DAI is an active player in the local and European R&I ecosystem and works in multiple verticals such as mobility, inustry, manufacturing and cybersecurity.

The selected candidate will begin by working on the development of a novel Elasticsearch library to streamline the current Data Science applied projects in cybersecurity. In detail, The candidate will lead the construction of a tool designed to extract actionable knowledge from Lucene-based systems and generate meaningful indicators for prior analysis using ML-based systems. The objective of this tool is to streamline the current standalone data engineering work in the ExtremeXP and Italtel projects. It will enable the creation of more automatic data-driven tools on top of Wazuh and Soluble Agents, such as OpenNac.

Main tasks:

  • Implement data processing and sharing workflows using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Work together with DAI team members in the design of the testbed architecture.

En TECNALIA hemos creado recientemente un nuevo equipo en Tecnologías Cuánticas cuya vocación es ayudar a las empresas a generar valor perdurable para todos los grupos de interés dentro y fuera de la organización. Los aspectos relacionados con el impacto ambiental, la transición climática y la sostenibilidad son ineludibles, pero también los temas sociales, la integración de la diversidad y la ética en los negocios, son cada vez más relevantes. Se trata de retos complejos, que es necesario abordar de forma global, porque la optimización de las partes no conduce a la optimización del sistema en su conjunto. El equipo está convencido de que las tecnologías cuánticas están llamadas a jugar un papel fundamental en la definición de la solución de estos grandes retos que nos depara el futuro próximo.

Dentro de las tecnologías cuánticas trabajamos en las siguientes líneas de investigación:

Computación y simulación cuántica: colaboramos con empresas en el desarrollo de soluciones basadas en algoritmos de optimización y Machine Learning sobre ordenadores cuánticos reales disponibles en la nube. Además, desarrollamos metodologías en Ingeniería de SW cuántico para abordar los retos que se derivan de la necesidad de construir sistemas híbridos y el desafío de operativizar el despliegue de los sistemas cuánticos (Quantum DevOps).

Comunicaciones cuánticas: investigamos en criptografía post-cuántica, desarrollando sistemas criptográficos que sean capaces de resistir el ataque de un ordenador cuántico, y en criptografía cuántica, en donde disponemos del primer laboratorio de Euskadi en Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

Distributed Data Architectures researcher

I2cat Foundation is looking for a Researcher to join our Artificial Intelligence area.

The successful candidate will work within the Disitrbuted Data Architectures team on projects related to Data Spaces, a set of reference architectures and standards that define decentralized architectures to securely share datasets between different organizations. Examples of topics that the team currently works on include:

  • Implementation of Data Space solutions with a wide variety of partners from the public and private sectors from the mobility, industry and health sectors.
  • Integration of big data and stream processing techniques to improve existing Data Space solutions in processing large and / or real-time datasets that are currently not supported.
  • Integration of data usage policy definition and enforcement tools into Data Space solutions. This will allow our solutions to offer automatic enforecement of data usage policies defined by data providers and guarantee that consumers adher to these policies.
  • Integration of data protection and Privacy-Enhacing Technologies (PETs) into data spaces. Examples of these technologies include data anonymization, data encryption, differential privacy, etc. The technologies will provide another layer of protection by allowing data providers to process their datasets before sharing them.
  • Participate in the definition of reference architectures and standards at the European level. This will allow us to increase the visibility of the team at the European level and influence the direction of Data Space standards based on our experience.

Candidates are not expected to take part in all of these activities. Based on the profile of the successfull candidate and their interests, they will be integrated into the team and start working on one of the mentioned topics.

Responsabilities of the successful candidate:

  • Participate in the design of innovative data sharing solutions based on state-of-the-art reference architectures and tools

i2CAT is looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to join the Research Infrastructures team within the Operations & Digital Transformation area at i2CAT, working in close cooperation with the following research areas:

  • Mobile Wireless Internet (Software Defined Wireless Networks research line)
  • AI-Driven Systems
  • Software Networks

The successful candidate will participate in the design and implementation of the 6GEN-ORAN facilities of i2CAT. 6GEN-ORAN is a key experimental infrastructure for research and development in open radio access networks and disruptive wireless technologies, including: RAN (Radio Access Network) virtualisation, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), AI-enabled RAN control/management applications and open RAN interoperability.

The IoT Research Area of the i2CAT Foundation is looking for a Researcher to work in IoT Ambient Intelligence and enhaced positioning topics.

The suceessfull candidate will join the IoT group to work in the implementation and development of IoT solutions and prototypes and their evaluation in real environments. The job will offer the possibility to investigate and work in emergent IoT technologies and solutions from a very applied perspective. Concretely, the candidate will collaborate with the group in current projects working in some of the following fields:

    • Development of the future IoT smart environments and sensing solutions capable to exploit intelligence in constrained IoT devices, adapt to the needs of the scenario and improve the overall interaction with the end user.
    • Enhancement of indoor precise tracking and positioning solutions developed by the group and based on sensor fusion, RF and Visual Light Communications.
    • Proposal and development of strategies for cooperative and distributed IoT networks

The main tasks performed by the candidate will be:

  • Development and implementation of SW/FW IoT prototypes
  • Deployment of experimental testbeds to validate the prototypes in controlled and real conditions.

The candidate will conduct researches with the objectives of mapping the market, identifying potential candidates and will participate to the search strategy. She/he will work directly with the Partners in Page Executive Switzerland and will provide support to the entire team with the following responsibilities:

  • Support the development of a national or international search strategy and pre-select professionals
  • Is constantly in contact by phone, email with a network of Executive candidates
  • Learn more about the client and its relevant industry, competitors and its market position and be able to apply that knowledge to the search process
  • Develop active & passive candidate pipelines for existing and future mandates
  • Active involvement in the search selection process (from evaluation to contract management)
  • Member of the European Researcher team
  • Identify target companies and individuals using various resources including in-house databases, associations, directories and Internet
  • Maintain market information with web sites, trade journals and industry specific conferences for current and future searches
  • Responsible for all open applications
  • Ad hoc project administration duties as and when required
  • Will participate to identify Business opportunities
